I am Misty Hutchins. I'm 22 years old, and I have been married for almost four years to a wonderful guy named Allen. Together we have a three year old son named Logan. Besides being a wife and a mother, I am a full time student at LSUS and I have two part time jobs. I have made many accomplishments and hope to make many more.

I have a very close relationship
with my two sisters Kristy and Stormy. I am lucky to have them. We also had a sister named Melinda that was severely retarded, but she was a living angel. She passed away from pneumonia at age 10. My mother raised all of us girls mostly by herself. She is an inspiration. I was three years old when she found out I had acute lymphocytic leukemia. The doctor said that I had an 80% chance of being cured (meaning that I would live
for five years). I thank God that I took so well to chemo treatments because I never had a relapse. The treatments were successful, and I was considered a cure at the age of nine. However, no one was sure how much damage had been done by the drugs and how that would affect the rest of my life.

I met Allen when I was 16 and he was 17. It was like we knew after only dating for a few short months that we would be married one day. When I turned 18 we did. Then to much to all of our surprise I had a beautiful baby boy when I turned 19. I couldn't be happier.

I started taking a few college classes at Panola Junior College while I was in high school. After I graduated, I continued going to Panola until I received my associates of Science degree. Then I transferred to LSUS to get my bachelors in Psychology. I will graduate in May of 2006. From there I plan on going into the graduate program for the Specialist in School Psychology.

I got my first job when I was 13. My mom bought a pizza place in Waskom, Texas called Pizza-N-More. I loved working with my mother and sisters in our family owned business. We also rent videos, and we have the largest pizza anyone has ever seen. It is 28" in diameter and it feeds about 10 adults.
I began my second job when I was 19 right after my son turned three months old. My husband worked at Sam's Club in the tire department, and I was hired to demonstrate products. I am the youngest demonstrator, and I consider all of the ladies I work with to be my extended family. It's like having a bunch of mothers and grandmothers. I love working there.

My husband and I would like to have another baby in another year or so. I plan to keep up graduate school part time until the children are both in school. After that, I hope to get a job at the same school they are attending or at a nearby school. I love the fact that I will have the same hours working as my children will have in school, plus I'll get the summers off. We may have to move away from Shreveport, since there aren't many jobs in my field in this area.

I love hanging out at home and watching movies with my family, going out to eat, and spending time with my friends.
